What a cozy, happy month! I aspire to one day make 19 new recipes in a month, let alone from the same cookbook. You are my hero! BRB while I look into making a chocolate loaf of bread!
It was a delicious month—and I can already tell that June is my recovery month. 😅 I hope you find a way to make some chocolate bread!! I think I have a recipe I can send ya that’s similar but doesn’t use sourdough starter…let me check!
The Hilary Mantel books are brilliant and a very slow read! Loved them all…just finished Hamnet, which you might like. And you might like, A Psalm for the Wild-Built
Spotting the daily grace—such a great habit to cultivate, and so helpful for avoiding summertime disappointment!
I love the idea of a house cookie, too. When I need cookies pronto, I’ve been turning to Alexandra Stafford’s chocolate chip cookies in Pizza Night. One-bowl, go with anything, always a delight.
Oooo I love viewing it as a habit to cultivate and tend to 💛 and a one-bowl choc chip cookie is DEF going on my list to try!! I’ll let you know what I think when I make them, thanks so much for sharing!
The Hot Date! cookbook is one of my new favorites! Looks like we enjoyed some of the same recipes too...ahhhh, those tater tots! :) And I will need to try the chicken, sounds incredible.

Nineteen recipes from Hot Date?!? You’re a hero!
Oh gosh you're so kind. Let's just say my approach for June is to chill out a touch and stop trying to make everything. It's okay to do less! hahaha

Oh gosh Hamnet is one of my favorite books! Maggie O'Farrell is just so brilliant. I will need to check out A Psalm for the Wild-Built!
Oh, that date cookbook looks so FUN! And chocolate sourdough—adding to the list!

I’m just so happy we’ve both been loving this book!! I’m still hopeful I’ll get around to making those date scones 🤩
You have to try the date scones! 😍
I am *this close* to adding a “books Brenna recommended to me” header on these posts!!
@Brenna I'm also THE WORST and somehow deleted your post while trying to reply 😭😭😭😭 You're so kind to me and I'm like, "delete."
